Buffalo, New York — PLS 3rd Learning is pleased to announce the launch of the Academy for Educators, a professional development platform for K-12 teachers and school leaders. The Academy for Educators focuses on bringing high-quality, high-impact professional development offerings including more than 100 modules to enhance and support elements of effective teaching, and courses that support the development of blended and online learning environments.
“Our online professional development modules are noted for their rigor and their underlying pedagogical model. All of our PD modules are facilitated by master-level instructors who provide feedback and context to course participants,” said Donald Jacobs, PhD, CEO of PLS 3rd Learning. “The Academy of Educators is designed to deliver practical ‘learn it today, use it tomorrow’ strategies to enhance day-to-day classroom teaching and learning.”
The Academy courses and modules closely align to relevant standards of teaching. The blended and online learning courses, for instance, align to standards developed by the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL), while the teacher effectiveness modules are closely aligned to the professional standards frameworks of Charlotte Danielson, Robert Marzano, and the national InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards.
PLS 3rd Learning has a long and rich history of designing and disseminating resources and professional development projects that support teachers and school leaders across the world. Working closely with partners and schools across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, PLS 3rd Learning serves more than a half million educators each year.
